IEIA, during its meeting held on 18th February 2009, duly constituted the following working groups in order to efficiently undertake various important activities/tasks for the benefit of the association and its members:

A. Industry Study Group - ISG

Convener: Mr. Sanjay Kapoor

Members: Mr. Vicki Bedi

Responsibility: The ISG is responsible for conducting an in depth study of the exhibition industry in India, in order to estimate its true worth in terms of value. It is considered an essential task in order to devise all future course of action with regard to development and growth of the industry.



B. Prime Movers Group - PMG

Convener: Mr. Indra Mohan

Members: Mr. M L Wadhwa, Mr. Ravinder Sethi, Mr. Vicki Bedi, MR. Rajiv Malhotra, Mr. Rupen Vikamsi, Mr. Brig Raj Manchanda

Responsibility: This group is responsible for taking up issues with various ministries to get Industry status for our Industry and other related issues as well as issues relating to construction and modernisation of venues.

C. Taxation and Legal Group- TLG

Convener: Mr. Vishal Gupta

Members: Mr. Sidhartha Sen, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Mr. Raj Sharma

Responsibility: For matters and concerns relating to various taxation local and central. Also all legal issues including a review of the constitution.

D. Venue Coordination Group - VCG

Convener: Mr. M L Wadhwa

Members: Mr. Ravinder Sethi, Mr. Ashwani Pande, Mr. Jayaraman Nair, Mr. Ashish Gupta

Responsibility: For Venue related matters and the problems faced by the members in different venues

E. Communication and Public Relations Group - CPR

Convener: Mr. Anil Arora

Members: Mr. Rajiv Malhotra, Ms. Kiran Mittal, Mr. Rupen Vikamsi

Responsibility: Design and Maintenance of an interactive website. Creating communication materials like newsletters, fliers and updates. Media relations and sending press releases. Conference and Training programmes.

F. Membership Driving Group - MDG

Convener: Mr. Brig Manchanda

Members: Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Mr. Ravinder Sethi, Mr. Vishal Gupta, Mr. Anuj Mathur, Mr. Sudhir Dhawan

Responsibility: Increasing the membership base. Developing and maintaining an industry database

G. Global Role Group- GRG

Convener: Mr. Ravinder Sethi

Members: Mr. Liyakat Ali Khan, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Mr. Udo Schuertzmann

Responsibility: International projection of India as an important exhibition destination

 

H. Standards and Codes Group- SCG

Convener: Mr. Udo Schuertzmann

Members: Mr. Liyakat Ali Khan

Responsibility: Work for Standardisation of contracts, development of a code of conduct & defining best practices for the industry and interacting with educational institutes
