V. Anbu is the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) and Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).  IMTMA is the apex industry association for machine tools in India and BIEC is India’s preferred exhibition centre for engineering and industrial exhibitions.

He has played a strategic role in developing IMTMA into a pioneering industry association catalysing the growth of machine tool industry in India.  As Director General of IMTMA, Anbu has initiated several key measures in the association for providing sustained qualitative services to the members.  He has been steering the association’s activities and turning its vision into reality.

Since taking over the helm as CEO of BIEC, Anbu has developed the exhibition centre as one of the leading venues in India as well as at the global level.His constant perseverance has led to the development and expansion of BIEC.  Anbu is the Board Member of UFI since 2011 and has taken strides to build brand BIEC at international level.

Anbu strongly believes in Process driven approach and gives thrust on people development. He is a metallurgical engineer from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, a prestigious research institution of the country. He has 25 years of professional experience.  Prior to joining IMTMA, he was with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) heading various key areas of technology / IPR activities.
