1. IMC 2026 Countdown Begins: Theme Launch to Set Stage for India's Tenth Digital Milestone
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) will unveil the theme for India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 on Wednesday, 29 July, at The Imperial, New Delhi, marking the formal start of preparations for the event's tenth edition.
Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, will lead the launch as Chief Guest, with Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, attending as Guest of Honour, and Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary, DoT, as Distinguished Guest.
Now firmly established as one of Asia's leading technology platforms, IMC brings together policymakers, telecom operators, technology firms, startups, and global industry leaders to shape the conversation on connectivity and digital transformation. This year's theme is expected to spotlight 5G and 6G, AI, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and next-generation communication technologies.
