In terms of scale and magnitude Hannover Messe perhaps occupies the topmost spot for showcasing latest technological advancements and innovations from across the world for manufacturing industries. This year due to the sudden surge of the global pandemic, organizers are exploring the digital platform to connect with visitors under a new theme: Industrial Transformation.

Leading dignitaries will throw light on the political-economic landscape of Europe and other parts of the world as they take centre-stage to deliberate upon the next course of action on Day One. 

Dr Angela Merkel, German Chancellor; Stephan Weil, Lower Saxony Prime Minister; Belit Onay; Hannover Mayor, Peter Altmaier; German Economics Minister and Anja Karliczek, German Education and Research Minister, who will present the Hermes Award together with Professor Reimund Neugebauer, President, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft will be seen in action. 

Exhibitors and industry thought leaders will present technologies and innovations for factories, energy systems and supply chains of the future. Visitors will get a peek into the latest trends in energy and logistics as experts from business, science and politics discuss manufacturing trends in over 1500 programs on offer during the show. 

Discussions between the three Association Presidents – Siegfried Russwurm (BDI -German Industry Association), Karl Haeusgen (VDMA - German Association of Mechanical and Plant Engineers) and Dr Gunther Kegel (ZVEI - German Electrical Industry Association) will be one of the primary highlights. 

Research on machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, and low-cost automation, technologies connected to evolutionary Industry 4.0, big data and many other concepts will be presented by renowned scholars during the exhibition. This will usher in a wave of digitalization and open up manufacturing industries to adopt these technologies in their manufacturing processes and create new business models. 

On the last day of the show, Deutsche Messe AG will showcase Women Power Career Congress under the motto: Reset, Rethink, and Restart, covering artificial intelligence, equal opportunity, and sustainability.
