Messe Muenchen India Acquires IICS, Marking a New Chapter for India's Cargo Show
The India International Cargo Show (IICS) is stepping into a new phase, with Messe Muenchen India acquiring the event from Upstream Business Solutions LLP. The acquisition brings IICS under Messe Muenchen India's expanding logistics portfolio, joining the ranks of transport logistic India, air cargo India, and the soon-to-launch project cargo India.
In just four years, IICS has carved out a strong position as a go-to platform for India's cargo and logistics community, bringing freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines, ports, warehousing and cold-chain operators, cargo-handling companies and logistics technology providers together under one roof. The scale of its growth was evident in the 2025 edition, which drew more than 25,000 trade visitors from over 80 countries and featured 200+ exhibiting brands spread across upwards of 15,000 sq. m. of exhibition space.
With this acquisition, the expectation is that IICS will forge even stronger connections across the logistics value chain β spanning cargo movement, handling, storage and management by air, sea, rail and road. Importantly, IICS will hold on to its own industry identity even as it becomes part of Messe Muenchen India's broader portfolio, giving exhibitors and visitors access to wider market reach and deeper ties with the international logistics community.
Looking ahead, IICS Mumbai 2026 is set for 2β4 December 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, with details on the 2027 edition to follow in due course.
