IEIA offers four kinds of memberships, viz., member, associate member, affiliate member and honorary member.
Requests for memberships are to be made by filling the prescribed form downloadable from this website. It must be submitted together with the prescribed fee and sent the Executive Committee for approval and acceptance. Application forms, complete in all respects, may be mailed to:

Fee and charges payable are as follows:

Enrolment Fee (One time) for Ordinary Membership
Rs. 1,00,000/- : Exhibition organizers
Rs. 2,00,000/- : Service Providers (Stand Construction/Freight Forwarder)
Rs. 4,00,000/- : Venue Owner / Operator

Annual Charges
Rs. 10,000/- : All members (if membership is allotted between October to March then 50 per cent amount is applicable for the first year).
The IEIA executive committee has the power to admit the number of members in any category.
Members, associate members and affiliate members are made by application and are subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee has the absolute discretion to decide upon applications and has the power to approve or reject the application without giving any reasons thereof.
Cheques to be made in favour of “INDIAN EXHIBITION INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION”
Membership is open to companies, organizations who are: exhibition organizers, venue Owners and service providers associated with the industry and other such bodies as the Executive Committee may decide to be associated with the industry.
To qualify to apply for membership the applicant must fulfil the following requirements:

Must be a firm or company registered under the appropriate Legal Provisions of Indian Law or the Companies Act as 'the case may be or in the case of a society under the Societies Act in India.
- Must be a firm or company not debarred from applying due to termination as tipulated in clause 24 of IEIA's constitution.

Must have been in or associated with the industry continuously for at least three years, or at least have a Proprietor who has worked continuously in the industry for three years.
- must have either organized or collaborated in the organization and conducting of at least three exhibitions.
The Executive committee may at its discretion waive any of the above requirements except sub-clauses 1. and 4.
All members shall have the right through their duly appointed representative, to attend, speak and vote at all General Meetings. Their representative shall have the right to stand for election.
All members shall be entitled to enjoy all privileges and benefits conferred by the Association or by any other organization the Association may be affiliated to or associated with.
Associate Membership is open to all firms, companies, associations and other bodies involved in the industry who do not quality for ordinary membership e.g. Architects / Designers / Decorators etc. always provided that they meet the following requirements:

Must be a firm or company registered under the Registration of Business Names Act or the companies Act as the case may be or in the case of a society under the Societies Act in India.

Must be a firm or company not debarred from applying due to termination as stipulated in Clause 24 of IEIA's constitution.

Must have been in or associated with the industry continuously for at least three years, or at least have a Proprietor who has worked continuously in the industry for three years.
The Executive Committee may in its discretion waive any of the requirements under clauses 11 except sub clauses 11.1 and 11.2.
Associate Members shall, except where specifically excluded, be entitled to enjoy all the privileges and benefits made available by or through the Association to Ordinary Members.
All Associate Members shall be eligible, through their duly appointed representative, to attend and speak at all General Meetings, but shall not enjoy the right to vote or the right for their representative to stand for election.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP: NON-INDIAN REGISTERED COMPANIES |
Affiliate membership is open to all firms, companies, associations and other bodies involved in the industry who do not qualify for ordinary or associate membership provided that they meet the following requirements:
- Must be a firm or company registered in their country of incorporation.
- Must be a firm or company not debarred from applying due to termination as stipulated in Clause 24 hereof.
- Must be associated with industry for at least 3 years abroad and must be involved in having projects in India for the exhibition industry.
- Must have a proven track record of having organized or officially involved in organizing successful events abroad or in India.
The Executive Committee may at its discretion waive any of the above requirements except for those in sub-clause 1. and 2.
Affiliate Members shall, except where specifically excluded, be entitled to enjoy all the privileges and benefits made available by or through the Association to ordinary members.
All Affiliate Members shall be eligible, through their duly appointed representative, to attend and speak at all General Meetings, but shall not enjoy the right to vote or the right for their representative to stand for election.
The Executive Committee may, where it deems it fit, confer upon a person who has contributed outstandingly to the development and growth of the industry Honorary Membership of the Association.
An Honorary Member shall, except where specifically excluded, enjoy the same privileges and benefits as an Associate Member.
If any member company is wound up or makes a composition or arrangement with its creditors, the member shall thereupon cease to be a member of the Association but the Executive Committee has the power to reinstate.
RESIGNATION AND TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP |

A Member, Associate or Affiliate Member may resign from membership by giving notice in writing to that effect to the Honorary Secretary but shall remain liable for all dues up to the date of such resignation.

An Honorary Member may resign by giving notice in writing to that effect at any time.

The Executive Committee shall have the power to terminate the membership of any category of Member who has in the opinion of the committee acted in any way prejudicial to the interests of the Association or its Members thereof or has violated any provision of the Articles or the Regulation of the Association.

Before any such membership is terminated, the Honorary Secretary or any person authorized by the Executive Committee shall give the Member a minimum of twenty one days written notice to attend a meeting of the Committee and inform the Member of complaint(s) and request the Member to show cause as to why termination of membership should not be proceeded with.

If after hearing such Member two-thirds of the Members of the Executive Committee vote in favour of such termination, such Member shall thereupon cease to be a Member of the Association and the Executive Committee shall inform the Member of its decision.

If such Member refuses to attend the meeting in answer to the notice calling upon the Member to do so and show cause, the Executive Committee may nevertheless proceed in the Member's absence to terminate the membership.

The decision of the Executive Committee to terminate the membership of a Member shall be final and not be called into question.

Where the membership of a Member has been terminated, that Member may re-apply for membership after two (2) years provided the circumstances leading to termination no longer exist.
